Making it two cars on the podium, Sam Blacklock brought the #215 in 3rd place overall marginally behind DBM x SE’s Kobi Williams who had a wonderful season.

Our V8SCOPS Enduro Cup Lineups Revealed

undefined

Endurance season is a very exciting time of the year, and this is no exception. This weekend it all kicks off with the Phillip Island 500, with the Imola 500 in a few weeks before wrapping up at the Bathurst 1000.

We start with three pairings that will be taking on the race from this weekend, those being:

🔴 ASTRO Gaming #088: James Scott / Cooper Webster

🟠 Logitech G #215: Sam Blacklock / Simone Maria Marcenò

🟣 Logitech G TrueForce #923: Zachary Hanlin / Simon Feigl

V8SCOPS: Rough Run at Canada

The V8 SCOPS Premier Series kicked off for 2020 at the traditional opener, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. In split 1, Sam Blacklock led the way in the #215 Mustang, shooting out of his grid box and slicing his way through the field in the opening laps, performing a great pass at the hairpin for 5th place before a hit on the rear entering the final chicane pushed him off line, and flying Tony Hawk style into the car that had hit him and into the wall of champions. There was significant damage for Sam, however he was thankfully able to continue but it would have a big impact for the remaining 55 laps. Sam continued to have a very strong drive despite the damage and was running in P10 entering the final lap, before again being rear-ended. Unfortunately Sam could only cross the line in 18th place, and despite a great drive, was a case of what could have been.

Zachary Hanlin would also join Sam in the top split however would have a difficult race, also being caught out in other people’s incidents and unfortunately making a few of his own. He would cross the line in a lowly 32nd place, and plenty of work to go on. Beau Albert was running in Split 2, and was perhaps a little bit too optimistic into Turn 1 and despite being involved in an incident early, however an incident further in front and a blocked track gave Beau and early finish.

Bring on the next round we say – where we expect to go better.

V8 Assault Revealed

Exactly 7 months ago today the Altus Esports team was launched. In that short time, we’ve achieved a lot that we’re extremely proud of.

With this great start, it is now time to take on Australia’s finest in the Virtual Racing School V8 Supercar Online Premier Series with four V8 specialist drivers on iRacing. It is with great pleasure that we can reveal that Dayne Warren (#57), Sam Blacklock (#215), Ethan Warren (#59) and Adam Zeitinger (#000) will be taking on the field in a four man assault. They will also be contesting the Australian Online Supercar Championship as well as the iRacing Official Series.

Between Dayne and Sam, they both hold a total of 4 Official V8 Supercar series championships with Sam the current reigning champion, and have both become some of the strongest in the V8 field in recent years. This pair will be driving the Logitech G Fords in this year’s assault.

In Ethan we have a real emerging talent that is improving with each race that goes by, and he will be racing the ASTRO Gaming Holden, with Adam returning to the grid after a long absence and keen to develop in his ASTRO Gaming Ford.

Lastly, it is with GREAT pleasure that we can reveal the cars our V8 drivers will be racing in 2019. Once again and without fail, ILiveries have done an absolutely sensational job of adapting our trademark livery from the GT cars, to our Supercars. Many thanks again to Juandi and his tremendous work.

We are really excited about what 2019 holds with this expansion into V8 Supercar racing. This forms a key pillar in the team’s strategy, with strong representation in all of the major events and series on iRacing in Australia, and Europe. Achievement Unlocked!
