iRacing Bathurst 12 Hour ends in a podium finish

It was amazing job in qualifying to kick it off starting 1st, 3rd and 5th. 🤙

We put ourselves out front to lead 168 laps however our Yellow car was taken out of the race from a stricken car on circuit (twice in the end), and with less than two hours to go our Red car hit the wall from a small mistake to give the win away.

Nevertheless, it was an awesome event from the team. It is one of those events where the result isn’t truly reflective of a great performance, but is what it is. When the mountain bites it bites HARD, and that’s racing.

PAIR OF TOP 20’S FOR CARUSO AT THE NURBURGRING

Jordan Caruso grabs a pair of Top 20’s on debut appearance at the Green Hell in Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup!

For a track not raced in any category before today, it was a solid round for Jordan. The feature had the potential for much more, but an incident with another driver on Lap 1 knocked him back to last before fighting back to P20.

With just two rounds to go, Jordan sits 17th in the standings with the Top 15 retaining their place in PESC for 2023.

ENASCAR ROAD TO PRO RECAP

Whilst the ENASCAR Road to Pro has the week off, we thought we would take a look at how the journey has been so far for our Oval Squad who are keen to build on a strong 2021 campaign that saw four drivers earn the coveted “black stripe”.

Through 6 races we have taken 3 top-split wins, and been 2nd in two of the three races in which we didn’t win. To reinforce our strong showing, we have banked wins and top-5’s in 2nd split, too.

It’s been a continuation of the form shown throughout 2021 for the likes of DeMerchant, Lopez, Cosey and Pedersen – while off-season recruits Tucker Minter, Ryan Doucette and James Wenzel have picked up wins and top-5’s themselves.

Fortunately, most have already locked themselves in for Round 2, with just Wenzel and Danson still to claim their place. Heartbreaking results despite strong showings have hampered Danson in particular, but we are hopeful this luck will turn.

Said Minter on the season so far with his new team; “It’s been a pleasure to join Logitech G Altus eSports this year. Each week we show up to the race with the expectation that we’re going to be the fastest team and I think we’ve done just that. The team atmosphere at Altus is great. Everyone – whether that be the oval, road, or dirt side – is really supportive of each other.”

2 WEEK RECAP

It’s been a very Porsche-Based fortnight for the team, but that hasn’t stopped the results coming in thick and fast!

Kicking off with the AOG Porsche Cup, Beau Albert would go back-to-back with perfect scores for the round, and once again backed up by Sam Blacklock scoring a second consecutive 1-2 Round Result

Next up in the ACI Turismo Cup, Simone Maria Marceno sent his regards as he extended his championship lead with a DOUBLE win at Spa, with a solid 37 point lead as they head into the final round next week

Finally, in the 24H Esports Series, our GT3 effort capped off the season with a P9 finish in the 12hr effort, but such was the pace of the team, they were left wanting more. It was a tough campaign for the #43 roster, but we can’t be more proud of their effort and determination to never give up, and keep pushing on. That’s what Altus is all about
