Bobo Picture Perfect at Snetterton

Beau Albert SimRacing would not be denied a fourth round win in his last four starts in the Aussie Online Gaming Porsche Cup Series! Taking Pole Position, Beau was able to control the opening race from start to finish without too much trouble, but the tricky part was yet to come.

For Race 2, a Top 15 Invert meant things wouldn’t be smooth sailing but a great start and some chaos unfolding around him meant despite a Lap 1 Safety Car, Beau was back at the front in six laps and took the chequered flag for the second time of the night.

Race 3 despite a rough opening few laps under attack from behind, Beau would lead every lap to go 3 from 3. 💪

With 2 drop rounds factored in, Beau now holds a strong 500+ point lead over second in the standings with 10 rounds to go.

Great Debut Season for Caruso in PESC

2022 is in the books for Porsche Esports Supercup competition, and at the end of it all, Jordan Caruso Racing would wind up 19th in the series points, JUST! short of the requalification positions for next year.

Great pace at Monza led to much promise, with Jordan narrowly missing out on Pole Position for the Feature Race after a last lap battle with Zac Campbell. In the Feature, Jordan would make strong progress running as high as Fifth early on until some unfortunate love taps ended up triggering a drive through penalty to take him out of contention.

Absolutely a season to remember and after a tough opening few rounds, Jordan found his feet and started scoring big regularly in the closing stages of the year. A strong sign as he looks forward to the Contender Series later this year to earn his spot back in the World Championship 👊

2 Week Recap – May 2022

Now THAT is what we call a good fortnight of racing! 😍

A huge congratulations to the Sicilian GOAT, Simone Maria Marcenò on taking out the ACI Esport Turismo Cup for 2022! Simone finished off the season in the only way he knows how, taking a dominant victory over Coanda Esports’ Rocco Barone 👺

Beau and Sam turned their run of 1-2 Round Results into a Three-Peat to overhaul a 500pt deficit in the Teams Championship, to now lead by over 200. Beau also holds an almost 2-Round lead in the Drivers standings, but missing the upcoming round, it is all to play for! 👀

Meanwhile a special shoutout needs to be given not just for the past fortnight, but for the entirety of the season to newest recruit Kody Deith who has done an amazing job in the Official Series to be currently on track to end the season a staggering 1.4k iRating ahead of where he started!

Esports Racing Team Association (ERTA) Launched!

Today a new Esports Racing Team Association (ERTA) became operational, with the objective of the association is to give teams in the Esports racing landscape, that is currently undergoing great change, their own voice and lend them more weight in the collaboration with sim platforms, game developers, race series, car manufacturers and drivers.

Altus Esports are very proud to announce that we are one of the founding members of this new initiative, and have joined 11 other fellow teams from around the world in ERTA. These include:

  • Team ad hoc gaming
  • Biela Racing
  • BS+Competition
  • Buttler-Pal-Motorsport
  • CoRe SimRacing
  • MSI eSports
  • Race Clutch
  • Red Bull Racing Esports / G2 Esports Sim Racing
  • Team Redline
  • SIMRC
  • Williams Esports

Altus Esports Team Manager Simon Feigl said of the new association, “As each year goes by, our great Esport has become more and more professional. With that brings a real need for greater structure, and a shared voice from the leading racing teams of the world. ERTA will bring about this structure, and Altus Esports is proud to be one of the founding members and represent the Oceanic region in assisting to shape our Esport.”

We’re looking forward to working with other great minds as part of this journey, along with VCO who are an active party also within the association.
