Oscar wins F2 Virtual GP, finishes 5th in F1 Virtual GP!

Oscar Piastri made his debut performances at last weekend’s F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix, racing for Renault F1 Team in Virtual Formula 1 alongside footballer Aymeric Laporte, and representing Prema Team in Virtual Formula 2 alongside Arthur Leclerc at Enstone having recently moved back over to England from Australia.

In the end it was P5 for Oscar Piastri in his F1 Virtual GP debut, particularly impressive after being hit into Turn 1 and dropping as low as P16 at one point at Baku. Oscar also won the F2 race earlier, in what was his first competitive outing for Prema Team whom he will be racing for in FIA Formula 3 in a month’s time.

GG Oscar!

Oscar Piastri joins Altus!

We are very proud to announce a new member to the team, and a man who has immense skill behind the wheel of anything he drives, be it a race car, simulator or remote controlled car, and that man is Oscar Piastri.

Oscar last year won the Formula Renault Eurocup becoming the first Australian to win the title, and is signed to race with defending champions Prema Team in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. Oscar also recently joined the Renault Sport Academy, to further a pathway towards Formula 1.

Given the recent pandemic, Oscar has found himself racing regularly on iRacing and showing the raw pace he has to be an exceptional sim racer. We are proud to have him call Altus home, and work together to get the most out of Sim Racing while he is able to do so.

Oscar’s first major race with the team will be in the upcoming BMW Motorsport 120 race on May 10th, at the Nurburgring.
