Strong Opening in FIA GT Sport

With five out of ten rounds completed in both the FIA Nations Cup & Manufacturer Series being completed, the Logitech G Altus Esports drivers in Kenny Conomos & Nicholas Voon have gotten off to a strong start, sitting within the Top 20 overall in both series in the Oceania Region.

Kenny opted to sign his contract for the Manufacturer Series with Jaguar, and this has proven to be a good decision for him as not only is he the fastest Jaguar of the series, he is also sitting 3rd Overall behind eSPORTS+CARS’ CAR_Bass, and Makozi Racing Internacional Inc.’s Nik_Makozi, who both represented Australia in the World Finals in Monaco last year.

For Nick, he opted to sign his contract with Aston Martin and this has proven to be a tougher challenge. Whilst he is the fastest Aston Martin of the field, he currently sits 19th in the Manufacturer Series. Nick will be putting the Logitech G29 away for a few weeks as he is getting married next weekend (Congratulations for then!), however will be back at the end of the series.

With almost 700 drivers contesting Nations Cup, and 600 drivers contesting the Manufacturer Series, as always the competition runs deep. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the progress, as well as a reveal of the GT3 Jaguar being pedalled by Kenny! Looking good. 🙂

GT Sport Squad Announced

As a Sim Racing Esports team, we identified from the outset that we wanted to compete against the best in the most professional of competitions. iRacing itself is an unbelievable platform to showcase that, and why we have dedicated ourselves to that platform for providing an exceptional virtual motorsport experience.

However with the improved professionalism of Gran Turismo as a Sim Racing Esport, and with history held from many within the team through the GT Academy program and the Speedweek eSeries, we are very proud to announce that we have now launched our very own dedicated GT Sport squad.

Our first Logitech G Altus Esports GT Sport drivers recruited are 2018 Logitech G Challenge finalist Kenny Conomos and 2018 FIA Nations Cup Asia-Pacific finalist Nicholas Voon. You can view their complete bios via our website: https://www.altus-esports.com/drivers

They will be preparing to take on the very best in Asia-Pacific and ultimately aim to contest the FIA GT Sport Championship World Finals in 2019, as well as other events upcoming on GT Sport. The new FIA Nations Cup series commences on January 30th.

We are also proud to reveal our Logitech G Altus Esports Audi R8 LMS, which has been expertly replicated by new painting partner, 2Clicks. Our GT Sport cars will be based on our existing design from ILiveries where possible, and we are very pleased with the work that 2Clicks have been able to deliver since commencing the project. We will be having the core cars used by Nick and Kenny painted by 2Clicks, with the paint shop queue booked for some time ahead.

Many thanks to our highly supportive sponsors and partners in Logitech G, ASTRO Gaming, Motum Simulation and Confederation of Australian Motor Sport – CAMS.
