Debuting in Assetto Corsa Competizione

This weekend we have two different 12 Hour races, the first of which will be in an entirely new sim for the team. We will be racing in Assetto Corsa Competizione in a charity race run by PPR Esports. The 12 Hours of Silverstone will be contested with some fantastic teams including G2 Esports, as well as famous personalities including Jenson Button, all for a good cause. Cube Controls have awarded us the place within the race and we are representing them as part of it.

PPR are trying to raise as much money as possible for Huntington’s Disease Association. Already they’ve been able to raise over £4,000 with over 197 donors supporting it so far. We’d love to see them achieve their goal and raise as much as possible, so please donate if you are able.

With a new sim that also means we have had a lot to pick up on, and we’ve had ILiveries working away on a new car! I first ever ACC paint we’re excited to reveal our new Bentley Continental GT3 and its drivers for its maiden voyage:

Simon Feigl

Zachary Hanlin

Simone Maria Marcenò

Catch all the action LIVE on Saturday, with the green flag being waved at 9:00PM AEST (11:00 GMT).

Florian Denard joins Altus Esports

We’re excited to reveal that Florian Denard from France has joined Altus Esports as of earlier this week. We as a team first met Florian at the Sim Racing Expo at Nurburgring last year, however Flo has been a teammate of Yan’s in the past and is a driver with a great deal of potential, and already with a Top 5 finish at Le Mans 24 Hour to his name from 2019.

To kick of his account we head to Silverstone, coincidentally simultaneously as the PPR ACC race is being run, for another 12 Hour race. This time it is Round 2 of the iRacing Endurance Series, and joining Florian is Yannick Lapchin, and Australia’s Cooper Webster. The race kicks off at 13:00 GMT (11PM AEST).

Simone takes double victory in ACI E-Sports

Simone Maria Marcenò has taken a fantastic double victory in round 4 of the ACI Sport sanctioned Formula 3 series held at Spa. Simone had a race long battle in Race 1 with Fabrizio Donoso to take victory by just 0.120sec at the chequered flag.

With a partial reverse grid race in race 2 it was all to play for, and having steadily moved to P5, we don’t think anybody expected this. Take a look!

Mamma Mia Simone!

Team Update

We’d like to let all of our followers know that we have had some changes within the team. We can advise that as of this evening, the following team members are no longer part of Altus Esports.

  • Dayne Warren
  • Ethan Warren
  • Jackson Souslin Harlow
  • Alexander Lauritzen
  • Lasse Sørensen

These types of announcements are never easy, and each individual is for their own reason and not just one. We will not go into specifics, however what this has reinforced through a number of team discussions these past few days on the importance of commitment to the team and mate ship.

It brings us back to who we are and we began as when the team started almost two years ago, where those values were at the forefront of our minds. A small team committed to one another to achieve our goals together, and that is what we did.

We are very excited to move forward with the team that we have, and despite the change in roster the team has responded very well with renewed motivation, including our newest member we will be revealing soon.

We do wish each and every one of those we are saying farewell to all the best wherever they may land, and we look forward to some good races in future. We may no longer be teammates, but we remain as good friends.

– Simon Feigl (Team Manager)

Altus Discord Community Hub Open!

We’ve been advocates of Discord for some time, and it’s a key tool that we use to plan, organise and communicate within the team and our partners. We felt it would be great to incorporate others into we are calling our Community Hub.

You’ll be able to engage directly with us on a platform that we as a team use most. It’ll also form the hub of some of our existing initiatives such as Just Send It, and also future initiatives coming soon, as well general banter, Sim Racing Q&A, motorsport discussions and join us in other gaming we like to do for fun such as Call of Duty, CSGO, etc.

To join, be sure to follow this link and be part of what we believe will be a fun and exciting place to hang out.

Sørensen P2 in Le Mans 24 Hour Virtual

Representing Aston Martin Racing for this race, our own Lasse Sørensen teamed up with good friend Nicki Thiim, Richard Westbrook & Manuel Biancolilla. Lasse did a fantastic job putting the Aston Martin in P5 on the grid in qualifying and the top placed non-Porsche who dominated the first half dozen cars.

Nicki started the race strongly, able to pick up positions and move into P3 relatively early on, and the team were strong throughout the long journey. Unfortunately for the event there were two red flags due to technical difficulties in RFactor 2, however despite this the AMR #95 was able to stay strong throughout the race and bank a fantastic 2nd Place finish in GTE class behind the Porsche Esports Team.

Awesome job Lasse, and well done Aston Martin Racing!

Webster set for S5000 Evaluation Day

Fresh off the back of Cooper Webster’s victory in the ARG Esports Cup at Bathurst, the S5000 category run by ARG have announced that Cooper along with Nathan Herne have earned a S5000 Evaluation Day at Phillip Island to be run by Garry Rogers Motorsport. The Evaluation Day is set for this Friday, and is a fantastic opportunity for Cooper who is also an established karter and junior category car racer, to experience a thoroughbred race car under the guidance of James Golding.

To add this to Cooper’s overall win in the Erebus Academy JR Esports event where he earned a Test Day at Norwell Motorplex, it has been a great month for him, and he is thoroughly deserving of it.

JSH wins Matt Stone Racing Challenge

Jackson Souslin Harlow has put together a fantastic series of performances in the Matt Stone Racing Challenge. Competing in the Junior category, he was able to be the fastest driver in each of the 6 weeks of the Time Trial challenge, and therefore claiming an overall win by a whopping 1.853 seconds.

Initially the prize for the junior category was to be a ride in a Supercar, however given his racing background and pedigree, MSR have advised that they’ll be giving Jackson a drive in the Supercar which is a fantastic gesture! Also being the weekly winner, Jackson earned himself a bunch of UNIT vouchers as well so he’ll be looking the part too. 👏
