ALEX DUNNE JOINS ALTUS!

We’re excited to welcome Irish youngster Alex Dunne to the team full time, having raced with the team most recently in the VCO ProSIM Series.

When not on the sim you’ll often find him at the racetrack, having completed his first year in cars in Formula 4 after a successful karting career.

We’re excited to have Alex join us, and to go out and get those results. You can watch out for him in this weekend’s 24H Series Esports 6 Hour race at Sebring in the #43 Porsche GT3 R.

VCO PROSIM OFF TO A GREAT START!

The VCO ProSIM Series got underway at the Red Bull Ring today, and it started very strongly with a Pole Position for Cooper Webster in the heat race. He led the race and then handed over to Simone Maria Marcenò who would try as hard as he could to prevent Maximilian Benecke from passing, however would have to settle for a P2 finish. It was a great run also for Jordan Caruso and Beau Albert who would climb from 10th on the grid to finish well inside the Top 10 in their heat race where the bulk of the points are scored.

It was a tougher race in the Bonus race, with both cars finishing outside of the Top 10 however it wasn’t all bad news, with Ryan Wood filling in this week for MSI eSports and finishing in 4th place in what was an awesome battle with Mitchell DeJong. We’re looking forward to seeing him back in blue and orange for the remainder of the series.

Bring on next round where we will have an even more expanded driver lineup. You won’t want to miss it!

SOLID ROUND AT LONG BEACH

The Porsche Esports Supercup Contender Series made its way to Long Beach for the penultimate round. Cooper Webster & Jordan Caruso got off to the best start possible, claiming the second row in qualifying with Jordan marginally ahead of Cooper.

In the sprint race Jordan’s luck came to haunt him once more, with netcode contact made around 1m away from his car, putting him into a spin and blocking the track at the fountain. Fortunately he was able to escape at the end of the queue of those not damaged, and he recovered for 13th place while Cooper serenely drove to a 3rd place finish.

The feature proved a mixed result as well. Jordan was able to move forward early however despite the pace advantage just couldn’t do anything to move higher than 8th. Cooper on the other hand had just made a move for 3rd place from 6th on the grid, before being tapped awkwardly at the hairpin, losing critical time. He’d recover for 9th and still net some solid points.

With one more round to go, Cooper is pretty well secured however it is all to play for with Jordan, sitting in 18th and three places from the qualification number.

Bring on Nürburgring!

MIXED ROUND IN IRX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Luis Núñez reaches his third consecutive Feature Race, this time by qualifying fourth and finished in 1st place in his heat race. He’d ultimately be pushed wide starting from the wide 4th place on the grid which would drop him all the way back to last place, however was able to put his head down and reclaim 7th. Luis now sits 8th in the driver standings as we surpass the midway point in the season.

For Beau Albert it was another case of being Punterino’d into Turn 1, which has been the story in all five rounds contested thus far. To add insult to injury, a technical issue would prevent him from being able to line up in the LCQ. Despite all this horrible luck, he sits 17th in the standings. It genuinely can only go up from here!

Next round… Hell! Sounds ominous…
