THE ROAD TO PRO STARTS HERE!

The beginning of the 2022 ENASCAR Road to Pro Qualifying Series takes place at the most iconic circuit of them all, Daytona International Speedway where we’ll be fielding a staggering 11 trucks, all hoping to progress through to Stage 2.

Among those 11 we officially announce the exciting signings in the off-season of Ryan Doucette, Dave Walsh, James Wenzel, Robert Miller and Tucker Minter, have all joined the Teams’ Oval Squad to help strengthen our line up from 2021.

We came so painfully close last year, so you can be sure that this year there will not be a single stone unturned. This is the year

STRONG SPRINT, ROUGH FEATURE IN SUPERCUP OPENER

Jordan Caruso got his debut season in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup off to a strong started, with a P9 grid position and a solid sprint race to get a Top 10 in his first race.

Unfortunately, he would be tagged on Lap 2 at the hairpin and dropping him to last of the runners. Solid pace would bring him back to the pack by the race’s end, he would finish P23.

Excellent signs for the season ahead. Can’t wait for Round 2!

ERWC DAY 1 COMPLETE

It was always going to be tough, however Tobias Pfeffer was superlative with his performance, especially in the Second chance race, taking Pole Position and dominating the race to win comfortably.

It was a bruising affair down in the pack where Beau and Jose found themselves, where track blockages happened on a few occasions making it tough to advance to the quarter finals.

Nevertheless, it was a fun first day and we ended up 16th out of the 22 teams in the ACC phase. Next up is an even bigger… RFactor2!

TOP 5 IN DAYTONA 24!

Qualified 5th – Finished 5th. Sounds pretty boring, but Daytona 24 is never that!

Luke McKeown, Yannick Lapchin and Rafaele Rezzag did a tremendous job to fight up the front early, nurse through damage from hour 4, and fight back towards the end to bring the McLaren home in 5th place in the main broadcasted #iRacingDaytona24 race, within sight of P3.

Congrats to FYRA SimSport on taking the win in GTD on the win, and Apex Racing Team on winning the LMP2 class.

Our second car just missed out on Top Split, with an average iRating of 7.6K! Nevertheless, the quartet of Florian Denard, James Scott, Kody Deith and Jordan Caruso did an exceptional job to go from the back of the grid, to P2 in the second split.

THE FIRST RESULT IS IN AND IT’S A WIN!

The way things panned out with splits, it turned out to be a dogfight between Altus’ oval racers and the other oval guys at LockDown Racing in Race 1 – Split 2. It was familiar rivals in very different circumstances, however it made for a great race that did end up with LockDown Racing splitting the two Altus machines and preventing a 1-2 finish.

Big congratulations to all of our guys for not only making it to the finish, but taking a 1-3 finish! Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for our RX/V8 trio of Dall’Olmo, Núñez and Blacklock, as they were caught up in an incident in both the first race, and the main SOF timeslot.

WHAT’S BETTER THAN ONE CHAMPIONSHIP? TWO!

Matt Danson (Asia-Pacific) and newly signed David Walsh (EMEA) were crowned regional Stock Car Champions of their region in the Logitech G Challenge presented in conjunction with McLaren.

Each winner earned $1,000 USD each & a trip to the UK to meet Lando Norris in an exclusive McLaren Racing VIP Experience, or as Matt would put it, for Lando to meet Matt Danson!

OPENING WEEKEND RECAP FOR 2022

The Sports Car Open race yesterday was a troubled race from the get go, carrying early damage from the opening lap for the 6 hour race. P20 would be our finishing position for Florian and Álex.

In the BMW SIM GT Cup at Daytona, Alex Dunne was running a strong P5 when the dreaded disconnect reared its ugly head effectively ending our chances of a result.

We have a huge week coming up, with some news to share followed by a stacked weekend of racing.
