ENASCAR ROAD TO PRO RECAP

Whilst the ENASCAR Road to Pro has the week off, we thought we would take a look at how the journey has been so far for our Oval Squad who are keen to build on a strong 2021 campaign that saw four drivers earn the coveted “black stripe”.

Through 6 races we have taken 3 top-split wins, and been 2nd in two of the three races in which we didn’t win. To reinforce our strong showing, we have banked wins and top-5’s in 2nd split, too.

It’s been a continuation of the form shown throughout 2021 for the likes of DeMerchant, Lopez, Cosey and Pedersen – while off-season recruits Tucker Minter, Ryan Doucette and James Wenzel have picked up wins and top-5’s themselves.

Fortunately, most have already locked themselves in for Round 2, with just Wenzel and Danson still to claim their place. Heartbreaking results despite strong showings have hampered Danson in particular, but we are hopeful this luck will turn.

Said Minter on the season so far with his new team; “It’s been a pleasure to join Logitech G Altus eSports this year. Each week we show up to the race with the expectation that we’re going to be the fastest team and I think we’ve done just that. The team atmosphere at Altus is great. Everyone – whether that be the oval, road, or dirt side – is really supportive of each other.”

2 WEEK RECAP

It’s been a very Porsche-Based fortnight for the team, but that hasn’t stopped the results coming in thick and fast!

Kicking off with the AOG Porsche Cup, Beau Albert would go back-to-back with perfect scores for the round, and once again backed up by Sam Blacklock scoring a second consecutive 1-2 Round Result

Next up in the ACI Turismo Cup, Simone Maria Marceno sent his regards as he extended his championship lead with a DOUBLE win at Spa, with a solid 37 point lead as they head into the final round next week

Finally, in the 24H Esports Series, our GT3 effort capped off the season with a P9 finish in the 12hr effort, but such was the pace of the team, they were left wanting more. It was a tough campaign for the #43 roster, but we can’t be more proud of their effort and determination to never give up, and keep pushing on. That’s what Altus is all about

ROAD TO PRO ROUND SIX IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR!

An amazing result for Seth De Merchant who ran strong all night to finish up second tonight and to lock himself into Round 2! Also locking themselves in were Tucker Minter who scored a solid eighth-place finish after starting 14th and Michael Cosey jr who had another strong run to end up 13th!

A tougher night for the rest of the guys, but Jordy Lopez, Christian Pedersen and Ryan Doucette can all walk away from tonight knowing their spot in the second stage of the Road to Pro is LOCKED IN!

BMW SIM CUP – NURBURGRING

A tough round for the #43 car in Round 4 of the BMW Sim Cup but with plenty learnt to take into next round!

Rafaele Rezzag and Oisín Walsh did a great job together considering a bumpy preparation where both of their original co-drivers withdrew late, meaning the combination were up against it to work out how best to maximise their result in the lone Altus Car.

JORDAN CARUSO SCORES BIG IN SPA!

Round 7 of the Tag Heuer Porsche Esports Supercup took the field to the much loved Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and the 12 car certainly loved being there too.

A calm and collected drive in the Sprint race helped Jordan jump up 2 spots to 10th, banking 11 points for his season tally.

But the big points haul was yet to come as chaos erupted in the Feature. Keeping himself out of trouble, Jordan maximised the opportunities available, before catching the top group on the final lap of the race.

As the chequered flag fell, it was a first Top 5 of the season, with 34 points vaulting him up to 17th in the standings after a tricky opening three rounds. The charge is well and truly on, and Jordan is getting closer to that Top 15, and retaining his PESC license for 2023

STRONG WEEK FOR THE BOYS IN ORANGE AND BLUE

Over the past week, the team has had more than it’s fair share of success! Kicking off on Tuesday, Beau Albert and Sam Blacklock would take on the Aussie Online Gaming Porsche Cup series at Interlagos, where a strong drive from both drivers resulted in 3 Wins from Pole for Beau, and backed up by Sam completing a 1-2 for the team in two of the races

On Wednesday, Tim Ryan once again proved why he’s Australia’s king of the dirt by taking out the Oceanic Dirt Sim Sprintcar championship with a mega drive at Eldora; and capping off the season with a Win to add to his collection

Finally on Thursday, Championships being won in the Dirt continued with Beau in the AusRx League at Lankebanen, where Beau drove a perfect event to take his 22nd and final victory in the league, capping off two consecutive championship seasons!
