2nd & 4th at Sebring 12 Hour
The 2019 iRacing 12 Hours of Sebring will go down in the memory banks as the one that got away for our GT3 Warriors in Simone Maria Marcenò, Beau Albert and Zachary Hanlin. An unfortunate set of circumstances meant that with a seemingly unassailable lead in the GT3 class disaster struck – the rear tyres had said that enough was enough, and we would lose time with seperate incidents but also damage the car significantly. Zac tried as hard as he might, but with 4 laps to go we would lose the race to Vendaval Simracing. Congratulations on the win – we look forward to our next duel.
For the ultra tough GTE Class, with a massive SOF of 6715, it was clearly a taste of this year’s world championship, and as such the competition was very strong indeed. Yannick Lapchin and Simon Feigl paired up for the race and fought valiantly, however did not have an answer for the top three today. They would finish just off the podium in 4th behind Williams Esports, Coanda Simsport and Vendaval Simracing.
At the end of the day, our performance today was very solid overall and almost achieving a win, however it was a good bounce back after Bathurst to end up with a P2 and a P4 result from the two cars entered. We will learn from today’s result, in both of our garages, and come back fighting again and always looking to better ourselves. Congratulations again to the winners – we will see you again next time!
